Principal's Message

**Summer Fun and a Smooth Start to the New School Year!**

As we wrap up our 92nd year at Govalle Elementary, I want to express my gratitude for your continued support and partnership in ensuring your children have a wonderful learning experience.

As we head into the summer, I want to encourage you to make the most of this break by spending quality time with your family and enjoying the warm Texas weather. Our summer camps are designed to provide a fun and engaging experience for your children, while also helping them maintain their skills and routines.

**Austin Soundwaves Camp: June 24-28, 9am-3pm**

Join us for a week of music-making with our Austin Soundwaves Camp! This camp is open to students of all ages and skill levels, and is a great way to keep your child's musical skills sharp over the summer.

**Art All Summer Camp: July 8-12, 8:30am-1pm**

Get creative with our Art All Summer Camp! This camp is perfect for students who love art, music, and movement, and is a great way to help your child develop their fine motor skills and creativity.

**Why Summer Camps Matter**

Our summer camps are not just about having fun (although that's definitely a big part of it!). They're also an important way to help your child maintain their skills and routines over the summer. By attending one of our camps, your child will be able to:

* Stay engaged and motivated in school
* Maintain their social skills and connections with friends
* Develop new skills and interests

**Staying Connected Over the Summer**

As we head into the summer, I want to encourage you to stay connected with our school community. Here are some ways you can do that:

* Check our school website regularly for updates
* Subscribe to our communication system with your email and phone number
* Follow us on Instagram: @Govalle_Roadies
* During the school year attend Principal Chats, PTA meetings, and Campus Advisory Councils
* During the school year volunteer in a classroom or at our school through

We're excited to welcome students back in August and look forward to another great year at Govalle Elementary!
