Govalle Elementary School

Principal's Message

Greetings, Govalle Families! Welcome Back to School!

Our teachers have been working hard the last few weeks in preparation to accept our students into our school and classrooms. Thank you for the support as we launch another school year.

I want to remind all parents to keep in contact with their child’s teacher about how the kids get home, homework expectations and folders, and the expectations for teaching and learning. As we work together this school year, the children will notice that the school personnel and parents are partners in their education. Help us help them be the best they can be.

For the safety and security of our children and staff, I want to thank all of the parents for understanding the need to limit access into the building during arrival and dismissal. Remember that school starts with breakfast in the classroom at 7:30 and we release students at 3:10. We are not always able to dismiss students after 2:30 due to the end of day procedures.

In addition, remember if you are picking up your child in a vehicle, you need to either pick up the young children, PK-2nd up front and 3rd-6th from the circular drive in the back. Younger siblings that have older siblings are grouped together for car pick up in the circular drive in the back. Walkers are sent to the basketball covered area. Be sure to check with the teacher or staff member taking care of your child by checking in with them before taking the child. It is a one way lane in the front of the school and the back. Please follow the arrows to get to your pick up point.

Enjoy the week!
